Programs Overview

Cybersecurity has been identified as one of the most serious economic and national security challenges we face across the world.  Sadly, however, there is a global underrepresentation of minorities in the fast-growing discipline of cybersecurity. As a cybersecurity professional or an aspiring cybersecurity professional, we must continue growing professionally and personally in order to stay abreast of the latest developments in what has become one of the most dynamic and constantly evolving tradecraft.

The International Consortium of Minority Cybersecurity Professionals (ICMCP) designed programs that help create a talented and innovative pool of citizens that can specialize in securing global cyber infrastructures. While the need for this pool has grown quickly, with the expansion of the Internet and the pervasiveness of computers, networks, and other cyber devices, the investments in underrepresented communities have not kept pace.

ICMCP's programs are intended to enrich the personal and professional growths of our members worldwide. Our Programs focus on all undergraduate student, graduate student and cybersecurity professional members in the areas of Academic Excellence, Cybersecurity Excellence and Network Building.  Our program activities advance the mission of ICMCP and support the preparation and matriculation of underrepresented women and minorities in the cybersecurity practicum.
